03 / About
Hey, I’m Lucas.
A full-stack developer from Belgium. I like building products from the UI down to the infrastructure underneath them.
What I do
I’m comfortable crossing the usual lines between frontend, backend, infrastructure and product. Most days that means TypeScript, Cloudflare and a practical decision about what should be simpler for the person on the other side of the screen.
I’m building FiveMesh: infrastructure for FiveM communities that tries to make serious capabilities feel less intimidating. Before that, I spent a lot of time engineering around large FiveM servers — performance, Lua, databases, deployment and the weird problems that only show up when a lot of people arrive at once.

Community Manager & Developer
My first professional web-development role. I managed the French-speaking community, provided specialist customer support, contributed to game development, and developed several anti-bot security measures.
It was an early lesson in building for people rather than just systems: community work gives you a very direct view of where a product is helpful, confusing or being abused.
How I work
AI-assisted development is a real part of my workflow: exploring approaches, reviewing code, debugging, researching and getting repetitive work out of the way. It doesn’t replace the important bit: thinking through architecture, security, edge cases and whether a solution is worth maintaining next month.
I like direct primitives, boringly reliable systems, and product decisions that respect people’s time.
